Science is constantly evolving, and before we know it nothing will be impossible.
The Chinese have been credited with the invention of paper more than 2,000 years ago, but a research team at the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics in China has completely changed what makes paper what it is.
The new and improved paper resists water even when its surface is damaged. It also withstands liquid stains from coffee or tea. Not only does it withstand liquids, but it also withstands heat up to 200 degrees Celsius, making it completely fire-resistant.
Researchers have been working on the new and improved paper since 2008 and are hoping to have it on the market within in the next three years.
